ḤADĪTH OF THE DAY

“ 'Abdullāh Ibn-'Amr's family slaughtered a sheep. Upon his return, he kept asking, "Did you give some to our Jewish neighbor? Did you give some to our Jewish neighbor? I heard the Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, say, '[The archangel] Gabriel continued to enjoin kind treatment towards one's neighbor, so much so that I thought he would make the neighbor a legal heir.'" ”

Sunan at-Tirmithiy

The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, while perfecting his prayer, kept it as light as possible. Footnotes: (1) He did not prolong the prayer but he perfected every component of it. Click on ḥadīth to read more
